WHETHER CROSSING SUN-SCORCHED DESERT VALLEYS OR WINDING MOUNTAIN ROADS, SERENGETI LENSES PERFECTLY ADAPT TO CHANGING LIGHT CONDITIONS.
ADAPT TO LIGHT//
As the pioneer of Photochromic technology Serengeti leads the industry in creating lenses that adapt to any light condition in any setting. Darkening in bright sunlight and lightening in overcast conditions, Photochromic technology allows your eyes to adapt to any light, in any weather. The result is a view of the world so crystal clear, you’ll notice natural beauty you’ve never seen before.
REACT TO UV LIGHT
Serengeti® photochromic lenses are activated by the amount of UV radiation in the atmosphere and engineered to transition from light to dark, gradually. Keeping your eyes and mind relaxed, and focused on the road ahead.
ADAPT TO ALL LIGHT CONDITIONS
Energy from UV radiation causes the polarity of the silver salt lens molecules to expand in brighter conditions, creating a denser lens that absorbs more light. In darker conditions, the molecules compress and separate to allow in more light.
ENHANCE YOUR VISION
Our photochromic lenses optimize for the environment, providing your eyes with the exact amount of light needed at any time — enabling your eyes to discern shapes and colors more quickly while eliminating eyestrain.
Spectral Control® Technology
Molecularly infused into every Serengeti® lens
SERENGETI® SPECTRAL CONTROL® TECHNOLOGY FINE-TUNES THE LIGHT WAVES PASSING THROUGH THE LENS, FOR NATURALLY ENHANCED DETAIL. AND COLORS THAT POP, CRISP AND CLEAR.
MANAGE THE LIGHT//
Our Spectral Control® technology removes wavelengths to give better saturation of what we need to see. Much like an audio equalizer filters sound frequency, our lens fine-tunes and filters shortwave blue light, allowing more red, green, and yellow to pass through. Landscapes that would be washed out, dull, or flat with other lenses become defined, vibrant, and vivid. Traffic signs and signals appear more distinguishable — while your eyes remain cool and relaxed.
OPTIMIZE BLUE LIGHT TRANSMISSION
Serengeti® Spectral Control® technology excels at diminishing atmospheric haze, filtering up to 96% of blue light to reduce blue blur and visible noise, while enhancing contrast and sharpness.
ENHANCE A NATURAL COLOR BALANCE
Our lenses selectively manage light wavelengths, distinguishing reds, greens and yellows, in any light condition. Providing improved depth perception and maximum color contrast.
PROTECT YOUR EYES FROM AGING
While some blue light (blue turquoise) regulates our biological clock, retinaharming blue-violet light is a risk factor for age-related macular degeneration (AMD). By filtering it out, our Spectral Control® technology helps preserve your sight perfectly.
Polarization Technology
WHETHER YOU’RE IN A HIGH- OR LOW-GLARE ENVIRONMENT, YOU DESERVE LENSES THAT GIVE YOU THE ULTIMATE GLARE PROTECTION AND WITH IT, UNCOMPROMISED CLARITY.
CONTROL THE LIGHT //
A headache from glare can ruin your day. With Serengeti Polarization technology, it becomes a thing of the past.
When glare reflects off the road, water, snow or flat areas, parallel light rays can pass through unhindered, while distracting perpendicular light is reflected. This allows you to discover more clarity, while living free from glare and eye fatigue.
*The technology in our Pilot Collection is specifically designed for those who professionally take to the skies, and features non-polarized lens options for pilots flying aircraft with digital instrument panels.
ATTAIN THE VENETIAN BLIND EFFECT
When glare strikes, embedded Serengeti® Polarization technology acts like a Venetian blind. While parallel light rays enter each lens, distracting perpendicular rays are reflected.
ABSORB ALL FOUR TYPES OF GLARE
Serengeti polarized lenses relieve eye fatigue and impeded vision by eliminating disruptive glare from: vehicle headlights, intense lights, shiny surface reflections and the everyday outdoors.
DISCOVER BELOW THE SURFACE
This Polarization technology allows you to experience absolute clarity, while discovering layer upon layer of details that glare would have otherwise kept hidden.

For pilots, our non-polarized Drivers Gradient finish is the preferred choice — capturing details at great distances without obscuring their view of the digital instruments in front of them. Overcast to medium light conditions: Driving, Flying, Onshore, Fresh Water. Available in polarized and non-polarized ultra-light mineral lenses.
555 nanometers marks the center of light’s visible color spectrum, right on the border of yellow and green. This is where the human eye sees best. That’s why our 555nm lens was created specifically for optimal sight in bright climates. In low light conditions, this lens allows more yellow and green to pass through, creating relaxing conditions for the eyes. Because the brain can recognize these two colors most easily, yellow is widely used on caution signs while green on black are used on radar screens, night vision devices, LED displays, and DVD players. Very bright light conditions – Ocean, Driving and Everyday. Available in non-polarized and polarized ultra-light mineral and Polar PhD™ 2.0 lenses.
As a beautiful variation of the 555nm, the 555nm Blue features a reflective blue dielectric mirror coating, which offers a category 2 to 3 555nm lens protection that reflects more glare and improves contrast. Available in polarized ultra-light mineral and Polar PhD™ 2.0 lenses.
Our CPG (Cool Photo Gray) is a multiuse lens designed to reduce harsh glare in all weather conditions without any artificial color enhancement. Its Polarization also further protects and comforts your eyes. Available in Polar PhD™ 2.0 lenses.
This unique, rose-colored lens provides a remarkable high-contrast view in the harshest light conditions, and it’s ideal on water and snow or in any intense light condition. Available in Polar PhD lenses.
The stylish silver-flash bi-mirror on this variation of the Sedona provides your eyes with ample protection on top, and below, producing beautiful clarity in the middle. This increased protection allows you to see details when looking close-up, making these lenses aesthetically pleasing and functional. Blocks glare from above (sun) and below (water). Ideal for golf and boating activities. Available in polarized ultra-light glass lenses.

Ultra-Light Mineral Lens
EXPERIENCE THE MOST OPTICALLY SUPERIOR LENS ON THE MARKET.
Our mineral lenses begin with borosilicate optical glass from Corning®, which can withstand extreme temperature changes, allowing the best visual acuity you could ever experience.
An anti-reflective coating is added to the backside of the lens, canceling the scattering light that causes reflective glare. Plus, the lenses are chemically tempered to ensure scratch and impact resistance, then ground to perfection.
Every pair of Serengeti® mineral lenses is unique and comes to life through an intense hydrogen-firing process.
Staying true to Serengeti’s commitment to craftsmanship, we always give unparalleled attention to detail throughout every phase of the lens-making process.
LIGHTER. THINNER. BETTER THAN THE REST.
A full 20% thinner and lighter, our Borosilicate mineral glass lenses are finer than any other lens. Produced in the same process normally reserved for ophthalmic-quality corrective lenses, they also provide the best visual optics in the industry.
HYDROGEN-FIRED. INFUSED. PERFECTED.
Each photochromic lens passes through a Hydrogen-fueled Lehr furnace, which fuses each lens with the Spectral Control® technology – with varying temperatures that determine the proprietary lens hue.
Polar PhDTM 2.0 – Trivex® LENS
OUR POLAR PHD 2.0 LENS OFFERS STUNNING VISUAL ACUITY AND THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF UV PROTECTION
Trivex lenses are composed of a urethane-based monomer and are made from a cast molding process similar to how regular plastic lenses are made. This gives Trivex lenses the advantage of crisper optics than injection-molded polycarbonate lenses (PC Abbe number: 29-31 vs Trivex Abbe number: 43-45). In addition, our lens features the Photochromic, Spectral Control® and Polarization technologies you’re used to, with all-new benefits like a lower temperature sensitivity for high photochromic performance in any climate, which allows the lenses to darken faster and deeper in hotter environments. We also added a renewable backside anti-fog treatment to prevent fog on the lenses, like you experience when exiting a car’s air conditioning.
BALANCE. PERFORMANCE. CLARITY
Each lens is built with NXT® technology and made from Trivex material, which was designed to withstand extreme impact and temperature changes. Lighter than polycarbonate, Trivex offers higher optical clarity and the perfect balance of visual and physical performance.
NO DUST. NO FINGERPRINTS. NO FOG.
The PhD 2.0 next generation lenses still feature hydro- and oleophobic front-side coatings, which help repel water, fingerprints, and debris. While a new highly durable backside antifog treatment enables perfect vision and better performance, whatever the activity.
